A high-energy, fun-filled evening!

Marketplace — Come spend an evening shopping with your kids.  Students develop a business plan, design and create a product, and market and sell the product to the whole school community.  Marketplace gives students an opportunity to learn about economics and commerce while putting their communication and math skills into action, all while having so much fun! NOTE: Marketplace takes place every other year.

Science Fun Night –  Students and parent volunteers are invited to join us for a night of science fun! Science Fun Night is science fair alternative that provides a hands-on night of fun activities. It is a fun night to roll up your sleeves and practice scientific inquiry (also known as sometimes making something gross, asking unusual questions and learning how to try, fail, learn and repeat). There is no preparation required and science experience is not required of the parent volunteers. This is just a night to enjoy learning about science with your kids! Teacher/Staff Appreciation – Celebrate and thank our amazing Northwood staff at Teacher/Staff Appreciation luncheons and during Teacher/Staff Appreciation Month.  Sign up to decorate our Staff Lounge, bring in homemade goodies to share, and/or help serve lunch to our staff. It is a simple and fun way for us to say “thanks” to our teachers and staff for all they do.

Walk, Bike, & Roll to School Day – Northwood PTA will sponsor a Walk/Bike to School Day once in the fall and once in the spring.  Students are encouraged to walk, bike or ride their scooter or take the bus to school!  The committee will coordinate logistics, snacks, music and promote the event.
