“Give a Hoot” Campaign
The “Give a Hoot” Campaign is Northwood PTA’s single, annual fundraising campaign.
With the exception of Bingo Night, all other PTA events and programs are provided free to families. However, there may be fees charged if food or materials are purchased, but these items are sold at cost and PTA does not make any profit on the sale of such items.
Your donation helps PTA fund supplemental learning materials, teacher resources, enrichment programs and community involvement. Learn more about "Where your PTA Dollars Go" and "How MI Schools are Funded".
Every gift is important and shows that you “give a hoot” about the success of Northwood Elementary.
Donations are tax deductible!
A contribution of $200 per child covers the cost of the support your child receives from the PTA, but we appreciate any amount you can give. No amount is too small (or large) - even $1 will help us increase our participation percentage!
Thanks to your donations to the “Give a Hoot” Fund, Northwood PTA can provide:
- Community-building events such as Welcome Coffees, Fall Social, Fall Festival and Spring Hootenanny (carnival)
- Education Grants for Teachers - Stay tuned for what items and programs will be funded this year!
- Funding for School Clubs like Drum & Mallet Club with Mr. Ward, Student Council, Green Team, etc.
- Staff Appreciation Lunches, teacher supplies and much, much more!
Corporate Match Program
Did you know that thousands of companies match donations by employees to the Northwood Elementary PTA, a registered 501(c)3 organization?
Last year these programs matched Northwood family donations in the amount of $15,000 which allowed us to fund all of our PTA initiatives and programs.
