1st Grade Teacher

Where are you originally from and what brought you to Mercer Island schools?

I am from Nevada, I came to Mercer Island because I was a nanny for a family on the island and was in awe on how much their child was learning in the public school and knew I needed to work in this district! 

What grade/area do you teach/support and how long have you been in education?

I teach 1st grade and have been teaching for 6 years. 

What is your favorite sport or hobby to do when you are not at school?

I love to read, ski, and go hiking.

Where is your favorite place to vacation?

I love the beach, specifically a body of water that I can swim in! 

What are some small things that make your day better?

Having snacks, chilly weather, no traffic, and my students having fun! 

Tell us about your immediate family and pets. 

I have a cat named Albus, a boyfriend named Chris, and a baby girl on the way due 11/1.
