Special Education Teacher

Where are you originally from and what brought you to Mercer Island schools?
I am from Spokane Valley WA, and I was introduced to MISD through the parent of a student I worked with during my student teaching experience.

What grade/area do you teach/support and how long have you been in education?
This is my 5th year at Northwood and in totality of teaching, I teach special education for grades 3-5.

What is your favorite sport or hobby to do when you are not at school?

I love kickboxing, both muay thai and American style. This summer I will be taking a trip abroad to Thailand and Vietnam to train.

Where is your favorite place to vacation?
Warm Lake Idaho. I spent a week there with my father every summer as a kid, and now my family has a cabin there.

If you had the day to yourself, how would you spend it?
I like to try crafting and making things. If I had a free day off I would probably be scrapbooking or decorating.
