After a Covid hiatus, the Read-a-Thon has returned! This year we're kicking it off with a Book Swap, so clean out your bookshelves, donate kids books to school, and see your child bring home a new favorite!
There are books to be read, prizes to be earned, and fun to be had by all. Read on for more details!
IMPORTANT DATES:
1/17-1/20 - Book Donations Accepted
Fri, 1/27 - Book Swap
Fri, 1/27 - Sun, 2/5 - Read-a-Thon - track your minutes!
Mon, 2/6 - Final day to turn your log into your teacher
How Does our Read-a-Thon Work?
The Read-a-thon is focused on the amount of time a student reads. This allows students with different reading speeds and abilities to participate at their own level.
#1 - Log Minutes:
Your child will bring home a sheet of paper with their reading log on one side and a BINGO game card on the other side. BINGO can be completed at any time, but a prize for BINGO will only be given once.

Help your student track their reading and initial their time to record how many minutes they read. More minutes = more prizes!
Student should bring their logs back to school each day so that volunteers can track their minutes and hand out prizes as we go along.
*If you need another reading log, they can be found in the main office.
Reading logs should be turned in one final time on Mon, 2/6.
